Island Exotic Veterinary Care (IEVC) is a unique animal hospital devoted entirely to the care of pet birds, small mammals (including rabbits, rodents, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs, and sugar gliders), and reptiles. Since we do not treat dogs and cats, everything about our practice is specialized for avian and exotic patients. Founded by Dr. Meredith Davis, who has over 23 years of experience in avian and exotic medicine, including advanced training from Cornell University and The Ohio State University with a master's degree in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Our compassionate team provides comprehensive services including wellness exams, urgent care, emergency visits, surgery including spay/neuter services, laboratory testing, vaccinations, grooming, and behavioral and husbandry consultations. We serve the Long Island community with dedication to providing the highest quality exotic animal care in a stress-free environment designed specifically for exotic pets.

There is literally no other vet I would trust to take care of my bunny Oliver. He was recently here with GI Stasis which can be fatal for a rabbit if they do not get immediate care. Island Exotic kept him for two nights and provided me with updates. Oliver is doing well now and that is all thanks to Island Exotic.

I've brought my boa here twice. The staff are awesome. At first I was worried because my boa is 7 feet long and weighs 15 pounds. Dr. Davis was excellent with her and even told me how beautiful she is haha. They are also very clear with the prices which is nice.

What a great experience. The doctors super friendly, professional, sympathetic and helpful with my pet. The care they gave towards my Chinchilla was exceptional. They were very thorough and explained all what was done and the care that needs to follow. If you are looking for Exotic animal care this is the place! Thanks for helping Pinky.
