Since 2003, Chadwell Animal Hospital has been committed to providing compassionate, expert care for a diverse range of species in Harford County, Maryland. We care for dogs, cats, and a wide variety of exotic animals, including birds (wildlife included), reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, and other small mammals. Our team brings decades of collective experience to every case, with many of our doctors and support staff having built their careers right here at Chadwell. With in-house diagnostics and advanced training in surgery and exotic medicine, we're equipped to handle everything from routine checkups to complex procedures. Our approach is rooted in education, trust, and long-term partnership—because great veterinary care is about more than one visit. It's about being there for every stage of your pet's life. We've been voted Best of Harford in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and again in 2024. We also work closely with Luna's House and several rescue groups and nature centers, providing medical support to animals in need across Abingdon, Harford County, and beyond. Dr. Keith Gold, one of our founding partners, is passionate about wildlife rescue and exotic animal medicine and surgery, having established the exotic animal practice to raise the quality and level of care for exotic species.
